working on breathing …

In through the mouth and nose, into the belly, into a rhythm.  My nose always seems to be obstructed, wish I could find a way to clear it out before I start running.

Started out west on the GWT this morning to do a 4-miler.  Lesley and Nancy were out ahead of me and I passed them at about 1.5 miles and then on the way back at about 3.5 miles.

Willie Nelson is just so brilliant, the perfect understated songwriter.  I needed a title for this post and once I came up with it I couldn’t get the melody outa my head.  My favorite Willie song – probably “Crazy”.  Here’s a nice little bio.

My nose was kinda clogged, and it did not clear as usual, so from time to time I found myself working hard on the breathing. [...]

first 6-miler

whooo hooo! it actually felt good. Out to the 3 mile marker on the GWT and back. The marker is positioned on the east side of the bridge that crosses Burlington Road. Sanoodi measures this out-an-back at 5.96 miles. Looks like I ran at a 10-minute pace, and every time [...]
